Thu Thu Shein  │ 緬甸 Myanmar

文化部第二、三屆東南亞事務委員 

緬甸電影導演及瓦堂電影節總監。生於緬甸仰光,2005年開始拍攝紀錄片,2001年獲獎學金赴捷克電影學院劇場及數位媒材學系攻讀碩士,次年與其夫婿Thaiddhi創立瓦山電影節,為緬甸史上第一個電影藝術節。2012年與一群緬甸獨立電影工作者共同創立三樓製片公司,主要擔任製片,透過影像講述緬甸當代社會的故事,並與緬甸當地及東南亞地區其他獨立電影工作者合作,是緬甸最為活躍的女性導演及影展策展人。已完成的作品包括:《異中見同》(2014)、與緬甸導演Shin Daewe合作的《跨越藩籬》(2015)以及《抹谷》。電視紀錄片《抹谷》講述全球珠寶界聖地緬甸小城抹谷的故事,與日本NHK共同製作。

Thu Thu Shein started to make documentary films in 2005, after graduating from the National University of Arts and Culture in Myanmar. In 2010, she received a scholarship to attend a Masters Program in Cinema and Digital Media at FAMU International in the Czech Republic. Together with her husband Thaiddhi, she founded the Wathann Film Festival in 2011, the very first film festival in Myanmar, where she serves as director. She also co-founded Third Floor Production in 2013, where she mainly produces films about contemporary Burmese society. Some of her notable documentaries include Unity in Diversity (2014) and Crossing the Barriers (2015), made with Burmese director Shin Daewe, and Ruby Land (2016), which was co-produced with Japan's NHK TV. 

Thaiddhi  │ 緬甸 Myanmar

出生仰光,2005始參與影像工作坊,成為獨立紀錄片導演,後獲得捷克國家電影學院(FAMU)獎學金至該學院的「電影及數位媒體系」研讀,取得碩士學位。Thaiddhi也是緬甸瓦堂影展(Wathann Film Festival)的共同創辦人及節目策劃,活躍於緬甸的獨立電影圈,並專注於緬甸的電影發展及教育。

Thaiddi is a Yangon-born independent filmmaker and co-founder of the Wathann Film Festival. He studied in a three-year masters degree program in Cinema and Digital Media at Czech National Film Academy (FAMU), and has worked in documentary filmmaking since 2005. In addition to his own work, he focuses on film-related development and education in Myanmar.

郭力昕 Kuo Lihsin │ 台灣 Taiwan

英國倫敦大學Goldsmiths學院媒體與傳播系博士,現任國立政治大學廣播電視學系教授。曾任各類年度新聞攝影獎、紀錄片競賽、國藝會「國家文藝獎」(電影類)、「華語電影金馬獎」、「台北電影獎」、香港「華語紀錄片節」、香港「鮮浪潮國際短片節」等評審委員,並自2003年起擔任「台北電影節」諮詢委員迄今。著作包括《書寫攝影:相片的文本與文化》、《再寫攝影》、《真實的叩問:紀錄片的政治與去政治》、《製造意義:現實主義攝影的話語、權力與文化政治》等。

Kuo Li-hsin is a professor at the Department of Radio and Television at National Chengchi University's College of Communication. He holds a PhD in Media and Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and writes regularly about film, photography and media for both the academic and journalism world. He has served as a juror for Golden Horse, Taipei Film Festival, Chinese Documentary Festival, and the Fresh Wave Short Film Festival of Hong Kong.
